The M891 Vein Finder is a portable, handheld infrared imaging device designed to assist healthcare professionals in locating subcutaneous veins quickly and accurately. Using advanced near-infrared light technology, the device captures vein images beneath the skin and projects them directly onto the patient’s skin surface in real time, enabling precise vein visualization during venipuncture procedures.

The M891 operates using safe infrared illumination (750nm–980nm) without laser radiation, ensuring patient safety while delivering high-contrast, clear vein imaging. Its lightweight, compact design allows for both handheld and hands-free operation, making it ideal for busy clinical environments.

With seven selectable display colors and adjustable brightness levels, the device adapts easily to various skin tones and lighting conditions. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery system ensures convenient, cordless operation and easy battery replacement.

Operating Principle

The M891 uses near-infrared light to detect hemoglobin absorption differences between veins and surrounding tissue. The captured image is digitally processed and then projected back onto the skin surface in accurate anatomical alignment. This real-time positive projection allows clinicians to visualize subcutaneous veins directly on the patient’s skin.
